A slope adaptor allows for a downrod-installed fan to hang straight from an angled ceiling or structure. Many fans come with a slope adaptor, sloped to a limited degree. The adaptor accessory can be an add on that allows for the fan to adapt to a larger angle if needed. A slope adaptor is also recommended for outdoor installations because our sloped ceiling kit can be secured in a manner that prevents wind from moving and damaging the fan.

What is a slope adaptor?

A sloped ceiling adaptor in only needed indooors if your ceiling slope angle is greater than 22 degrees but not more than 60 degrees. The sloped ceiling adaptor is recommended for outdoor applications exposed to relatively high winds because it can be secured in a manner that prevents wind from moving and damaging the fan.

Do I need a sloped ceiling adapter?

Generally speaking, no. The fan blades are sized and calibrated/pitched uniquely to the fan body, so it is not recommended to swap to swap with any other fan blades outside the model you are installing. Should something happen to the fan blade, contact your showroom or the manufacture to see if a model-specific replacement exists.
